Spirit of '76 Take Everywhere Bag
I was really young in 1976, but my mom was doing the Stretch-n-Sew thing and I remember her making my brother a shirt from a 1976 Centennial knit. Imagine the fun women had creating clothes and other home decor items around these red, white, and blue fabrics. This one is thick like an upholstery fabric (maybe a bark cloth); found at an estate sale.
Vintage Spirit of ‘76 fabric paired with winter white new vinyl
Lining created with red and white polka dot cotton fabric
Buckram layer between outside and lining for structure
Base made from a double layer of recycled corrugated plastic
Interior double pocket
Acrylic ring handles
Length: 14", Height: 13”, Depth: 8"
Interior handle drop 3.5”
