Are all the items exactly alike?

Because each item is made by hand, expect that each item also will be unique. Chelle Summer is about the unique people that we are each are and the bags are reflective of that.

Do you make custom items?

Yes, we do. Please use the contact form and send us an email. Include as much information about what you're looking for and we will let you know if it's something we can do. Please note there is an extra charge for all custom work and we'll let you know what kind of turnaround to expect. 

What if I see a fabric I like but not in the bag style I like?

Please contact us. What you see on the web site is currently what's made but we still have fabric for many of the bags. However, don't delay getting a style you like either because we don't always have an unlimited supply of any fabric. Typically, these bags take two weeks to ship but sometimes we can ship them quicker to you.

How long will it take to receive my item?

We ship via FedEx Ground and Priority Mail through the United State Postal Service and it usually takes 5 business days. We ship within 2 business days of receiving your order so a week is reasonable to expect to receive it.

How do I care for my bag?

We use a variety of fabrics for the bags but generally– unless they are vintage fabrics– we use upholstery fabrics. Most of them have been treated with stain repellent. Some you can wash, some can only be dry cleaned but they are all different and you are washing them at your own risk. We highly recommend a product like Scotch Guard to protect your bag. We know that life isn't perfect and stains and marks happen. A spot remover is always best for cleaning.

Alterations

If you have ordered a customer item and you aren’t quite satisfied with the fit, you must contact us within two weeks of receiving the item to arrange for the alterations. We will not accept alteration requests beyond a month past the purchase date.

Can you pick up an item in the Albuquerque area?

Yes! You can select the “store pick up” option when you’re checking out. Please send us a message and we can arrange a pick up or possibly delivery to you. This option will save you having to pay for shipping when it’s not necessary.

Where do you ship to?

Currently we only ship on the mainland United States but we'll be offering more destination shipping soon.
