A limited collection, meet the Joy of Self Cosmetic Bags! These lined bags are made from vintage shower curtains with Warm and Natural batting and cotton fabric lining, then finished with zipper enclosures. They also have a flat bottoms, making them great cosmetic cases.

The bonus is the eucalyptus mint prickly pear soap made by Eastside Remedios in Santa Fe, New Mexico, using the prickly pear puree from my front yard. The soap also includes olive oil, cottonseed oil, and coconut oil. There is no softer, better smelling soap than this!

Using scraps from other projects (and estate sales), the bags also contain, well, little ribbon drawstring bags. Each of these has five reusable makeup (or other! I use them for astringent) pads. On one side is the fabric and the other has the batting, then they are serged together. The pads can be thrown in the laundry rather than using disposable one-use makeup pads.

Please note that while you will pick the print of your cosmetic bag, the drawstring bag and makeup bags will be an assortment of colors and prints. Each bag is unique because it’s about using the smallest of scraps after Chelle Summer projects are completed.
