The fabric used to make these bags belonged to a woman named Isabel who died in the early 1970s. Her only child is a long-time friend of my husband Greg and the trunk that held this fabric sat closed in the house where she lived until earlier this year when it was opened by the wife of Greg’s friend. The fabric was given to me and I can’t express how meaningful it is to me that I have the opportunity to make Chelle Summer items with Isabel’s collection of fabric.
